How Ostium Moonmath Works
Simple explanation of what is calculated, what is primary vs secondary, and where assumptions matter.
1. Primary Output
The main estimate is your projected airdrop value from points and FDV assumptions.
- Enter your total points.
- Enter or select an FDV scenario.
- Set season total points and airdrop allocation percent.
Core relationship:
season_share = your_points / season_total_points
projected_airdrop_value = FDV * airdrop_allocation_pct * season_share
2. Secondary Output: Should You Trade This Week?
This is a separate decision tool based on weekly value vs weekly cost.
- It estimates weekly points from trading and OLP assumptions.
- It estimates weekly costs (fees, slippage/funding, opportunity cost).
- It compares value/cost against your threshold and returns a yes/no signal.
This is more assumption-sensitive than the primary airdrop estimate.
3. Split Explorer
Explores trading share from 0% to 100% in steps and compares value/cost for each split.
- Helps identify a stronger trading vs OLP mix under your assumptions.
- Use as guidance, not certainty.
4. Limits and Disclaimer
- All outputs depend on manual inputs and assumptions.
- Real platform dynamics and competition can change over time.
- This tool is for scenario planning and is not financial advice.
